Jakarta, 28 August 2024 – We PT Sahabat Kirim Digital, the owner of the Easylink brand, would like to provide an official clarification regarding the allegations linking our company to online gambling activities. We firmly deny Easylink's involvement in online gambling transactions or activities and ensure that we always comply with applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia.
As a digital payment service provider, Easylink has a strong commitment to legal compliance and transparency. Easylink CEO, Yoga Chandra Sudewo, also emphasized that our company has operated in accordance with regulations set by Bank Indonesia and other relevant authorities. Our mission is to provide legal, safe, and transparent financial transaction services for all users.
We are very surprised to learn that Easylink's name is included in the list of payment service providers (PJP) suspected of being involved in online gambling activities, as announced by the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) recently. This allegation does not reflect our operational practices and is contrary to our commitment to legal compliance.
In addition to complying with the law, we also implement a strict internal monitoring system to ensure that our services are not used for illegal activities. As a proactive step, we will conduct in-depth internal audits to ensure that all aspects of our services comply with applicable regulations. The results of this audit will be conveyed transparently to the Ministry of Communication and Information in accordance with applicable provisions.
Easylink, along with 20 other companies listed, have been in talks with the Ministry of Communication and Information. We have explained in detail that our services are not involved in online gambling activities. We have also collaborated with these companies to emphasize that our services are not related to online gambling activities.
The Ministry of Communication and Information has promised to provide further clarification and ensure that Easylink's electronic system services do not facilitate or support online gambling activities.
